Imagine wandering through the forest. You walk down one trail after another. Eventually you look up and see a mama bear on one side of you, and her cubs on the other. You are standing in the most dangerous place in the world.

My husband Jason and I have two children. Our daughter is in middle school in Kernersville, and our son is about to enter kindergarten. As we watch the news each night, we see school systems across the country embracing radical racial and sexual ideologies. They are coming between parents and their kids. Our kids’ schools are great, and I am running to keep them that way.

I have worked in ophthalmology for twelve years and I have been a registered nurse since 2020. I have volunteered with the Salvation Army and at Red Dog Farm with my kids. I am a Christian and attend Union Grove Baptist Church.
